A weekend of picnics

We had a busy and fun weekend filled with picnics! The first picnic was on Saturday, a 50th Anniversary Celebration for WL GORE (Jake's work). They put on a pretty good event - a band, carnival, and lots of food tents. Micah loved the carnival. He rode the Ferris Wheel with me, the Super Slide (over and over again) with Daddy, and the spinning strawberry. We were all dizzy after that one!

Our church had a picnic at a nearby park after church on Sunday. It was really fun -- they grilled burgers and fries and the congregation brought sides and dessert. In true church picnic form, there was a TON of yummy food. Micah and Caden both enjoyed playing in the park after eating - Caden in the swing and Micah testing out all of the slides. When it was time to go Micah's tiredness set in and we had a nice tantrum to listen to on the way home. I mean, how could we make him leave those slides and cookies!? At least that is what he thought ;-). Caden was also exhausted, falling asleep in the car and then proceeding to sleep until almost 5pm once we were home.
