Saying Goodbye

The last week of school was pretty tough on our guys this year. Caden came down with a virus that forced him to miss the entire last week of school :( and Micah caught it from him just in time to miss the last day. My poor guys. They love school, their teachers and friends, so it was pretty hard on them to miss out. Even though both boys were still a little feverish their teachers were kind enough to allow them to come say goodbye on their clean up day so as to not expose any of the their classmates. Jake managed to get a couple pics of the boys with Ms. Adams (Micah's 1st grade teacher) who was not only packing up her classroom, but also getting married and moving to Texas!

Nate is Eight!

Our nephew Nathan just turned eight years old!  He is a great boy who is growing so quickly.  We had lots of fun celebrating his birthday at the park, flying kites and fishing!

Kay Arthur Weekend

It felt a little strange to be back in our old home church building.

Late dinner at Pei Wei on Val Vista after enjoying Kay's Friday night opening -- check out the phones in our hands.  We weren't being as anti-social as it seems.  Just checking on things at home.

Kay Arthur came to Central Christian Church in Mesa (our old home church!) over Mother's Day Weekend.  I had a lot of fun going down the hill with some girlfriends from my Grace Group to hear her speak.  We also got to enjoy some yummy meals and fun girl time!  :)  Thanks to all the hubbies for staying home with the kids so we could all have a little break and glean from Godly teaching.

We were pretty close, but it was hard to get a good picture of Kay with the bright stage lights.

Love these ladies!

Patty's Bachelorette Party

We had a lot of fun enjoying teppanyaki and going dancing for Patty's bachelorette party. I am the oldest bridesmaid of the group, so I got to pretend to be 23 again. ;-) I think I had forgotten how much fun it is to go dancing with friends.
