Easter Sunday

We had a lovely and relaxing Easter this year. We really enjoy the family traditions that come with Easter year after year... getting to read the story of Christ's resurrection together and discuss it with the kids, the artsiness of dyed eggs, and of course a big yummy family meal. All in all our day was very restful. Church and good family time.

One of the big highlights (for me) was getting to dress my baby girl up in a poofy pink dress. She is 18 months old and I still love the frills of having a girl!  Here are some pictures from a few days before Easter while trying on her dress (Don't mind the "special effects"... I was having a little fun with pictures)...

Making hard-boiled eggs in the oven. Can't wait to see how this goes. Everyone I have talked to swears that it works!

Step 1...

Bake eggs on the rack in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes.

Step 2...

Place cooked eggs into a bowl of very cold ice water to cool.

Step 3...

Dye or use for a recipe. Whatever you need them for!

**That was crazy easy! Just tried one and the egg was perfect! The yolk was cooked perfectly and there was not any funny grey or green color around the yolk. Any brown spots that form on the egg shell while cooking in the oven vanish in the ice water. Awesome! I'll never actually boil hard-boiled eggs again!**
