Nathan's 3rd Birthday Party!

This past weekend we had a lot of fun celebrating our first nephew's 3rd birthday! (I can't believe that he is already 3!) He loves the movie "Cars" so everything was decked out in red, blue, Tow Mater, and Lightening McQueen. Here are some pics as always...

Caden's Dedication - Mother's Day Weekend

We were blessed this weekend to spend time with Jake's family - Mom, Dad, Patty, David, Wyatt, and cousin Heather. Jake's parents arrived early Saturday morning so that Jake and his dad could put gutters on our house. I think they thought the project would move quickly, but it ended up being a bigger undertaking than expected. They worked nearly the entire day and even had to get up early on Sunday morning to work before church. By the end of the morning the bulk of the work was done, but Jake does still have a few loose ends to tie up -- applying extra sealant to the gutters and finishing up a down spout.

Joyfully both Caden (10 mos.) and Wyatt (3 mos.) were dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ at church at the Mother's Day service. Our pastor prayed for each family taking part in the dedication individually. I really love dedications - such a great reminder that our home should be a place the reflects God's love and grace, and of course, a commitment to raise our children to know about Jesus our SAVIOR and a chance to know and live for Him by their own choice.

Unfortunately, our camera battery died in the middle of the service so we don't have a picture of Wyatt's dedication. BUT, I do have a number of pictures of Wyatt playing in Caden's Jumperoo Saturday evening. He LOVED it and was totally content bouncing and watching the world. See below -- such a precious smile!

Mr. Stain

Our fence is restained at last! Following such a harsh winter, we knew that our fence was going to need a serious restaining. Who knows when the fence was last stained, whether it was when it was built in 2002 or if it was done at some point by the previous owners. Funnily enough, we looked at picture of the fence from April 2007 - just before we bought the house. It looked perfect. The snow this winter season really did a job! We couldn't believe it and we are certainly hoping (especially Jake) that we do not need to restain every year. So, nearly a whole weekend and a super red sunburn later, Jake completed the fence. Take a look at his work in process...
