Christmas

You would think that I would remember to take more pictures than I do on Christmas, but somehow I just get too busy and never quite take enough. Here are a few from our Christmas at home 2011...

Thanks to my parents, here are a few more pictures...

Quick-fix Thanksgiving

We had planned to be with relatives in Payson for Thanksgiving this year, but our family was hit with a nasty bug for about two weeks around that time. Caden woke up at 4 am Thanksgiving morning to return his dinner to us from the night before, so it was quickly decided that we would have to stay home in order to keep our relatives from getting sick too. Micah, who was finally feeling 100% better, begged me to make a Thanksgiving meal anyway. So, I did what a mom does and I ran to the grocery store early on the morning of Thanksgiving Day to buy EVERYTHING I would need for the meal (the first Thanksgiving meal that I had ever prepared, mind you). I imagine that I looked like a crazy lady trying to buy so much last minute, but hey, I actually managed to pull it off. By the grace of God, we were all seated at our kitchen table around 4pm for what turned out to be a pretty decent meal... even if it was by the seat of my pants!

Happy 6th Birthday, Micah!

We had such a fun time celebrating Micah's birthday this year. I still can't believe he is six! Where does the time go? Micah loves anything Mario and Luigi right now, so he decided to have a Mariokart racing party. I let Jake be in charge of the races... he did a great job and was much more patient than I would have been with all of those eager boys.

Hiking the Aspens

We were a little late, but finally found time near the end of October to venture out and explore the beautiful golden yellow Aspens! Many of the leaves had already fallen, but that actually made it fun as we got to hike the yellow brick road! It was a beautiful and fun family day! The pictures pretty much say it all...

Catching up, once again...

I have had issues with Blogger for the last few months and, frustratingly, have been unable to post. I think I may have figured something out, though, so check out the links below to view some "catch up" posts of some of the most significant moments from the Goble family summer...

Happy Birthday, Karlynn!

Hard to believe, but Karlynn is ONE! We had a fun party with family and a couple friends. She received, count 'em, three babydolls as well as some other fun toys. She loved opening presents, the balloons, and smashing into the homemade gluten free, dairy free, agave sweetened birthday cake I made for her... even with homemade strawberry frosting!

Surprise Party!

I am blessed to have loving and fun in-laws. This year, for Donna's 55th birthday, Jake's dad, Brian, threw her an awesome surprise party! Best part - she was completely surprised - shhh, she even cried a little. We enjoyed some yummy mexican food catered in, a live band, and some super yummy cake. It was a special evening and a great chance to celebrate such an awesome woman!
