Last weekend, while out running errands and doing some shopping, we stopped for a quick lunch at the Galaxy Diner on Route 66 in town. While there two folks who were driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile popped in for lunch. It was really funny to watch because they quickly became the most popular people in the joint. Kids were asking for wienie whistles (we didn't get one for Micah, which I am sort of regretting now), a man wearing a vietnam veterans hat sat down to chat with them about memories while they ate their meal, and everyone was running outside to see the wienermobile and take pictures (of course!). So, before we left, we made sure to do the same. We did not have a camera with us, so I pulled out the ever-handy cellphone cam. Anyway, it was a really neat piece of Americana.
